Gregor the Overlander is about a 11 year-old boy named Gregor who happens to jump in the heating doc after his little sister Boots .When she climbs in and falls in the laundry room. they fall in a land filled with Bats, Rats, Roaches, Spiders.
There are Kings, Queens, Princess's, Prince's . Gregor and Boots are treated with respect but the Queen Luxa is'nt very pleased about Gregor and Boots's arrival in the underland. gregor and Boots go on a quest with the underlanders while a war goes on when the palace is invaded by Rats .Gregor finds out his father is a prisoner in the underland . Gregor finds his father after a long journey, of fighting ,survival.
When Gregor Finds his father he notices the rats have starved him and who knows what else they did they heal his father and go to a river in the dead land .
The Rats try climbing the huge stone arch but cant, they get up .Gregor ,Boots,Gregors father , the Underlanders get away safely.
When they get to the city Regalia the underlanders take Gregor to the Hospital section at the palace .
Luxas cousins bat is in trouble for catching gregor and not Luxas cousin who the Bat is bonded to forever .They wish to have him out. They do not get there wish because Gregor bonds to the bat to stop him from being thrown out into the dead land . Gregor finds his way home.

What i liked about this book is : the author made this book very realistic , the story is very real and when you read this book you feel like your in the book and you imagine your in it and you can feel the emotions. I felt like this was happening in real life somewhere while reading 'Gregor The Overlander '
